Trovv Payments

Take the payment where you make the sale.

Trovv Payments is processing built into the platform rather than bolted beside it, integrated with Fiserv. Card at the counter runs through an encrypted terminal. Card online runs through a hosted tokenizer, so card numbers never reach your systems. Bank payments, voids, refunds, and settlement all flow back to the same ticket, which means the payment and the sale are one record instead of two systems you reconcile on a Friday night.

What you get

  • Card present through an encrypted point-to-point terminal, so card data is protected at the device
  • Card not present online through a hosted tokenizer, so card numbers never touch your servers
  • Bank payments (ACH eCheck) online and at the counter, with the correct authorization captured and retained
  • Real-time bank account verification on online bank payments, so bad accounts decline at checkout instead of days later
  • Optional surcharging, applied by the gateway and waived automatically where state law prohibits it
  • Voids and refunds by reference, full or partial, from inside the same screen
  • Settlement reconciled back to the originating sale, with returned payments reported by reason
  • Every payment written to the same ledger as the sale, with audit on who took it and when
  • One integration across POS, layaway, repairs, appraisals, and the web storefront

One payment, one record

The gateway result lands on the invoice, the layaway, the repair, or the appraisal it belongs to. There is no separate payments portal to cross-check, and no month-end exercise matching a processor statement against your own sales report.

Card data you never have to hold

At the counter, the terminal encrypts the card before it reaches the software. Online, a hosted tokenizer captures the card and returns a token. Either way the sensitive number stays out of Trovv, which is the simplest way to reduce what you are responsible for protecting.

Bank payments, done to the rules

ACH is not just a cheaper card. Trovv sends the correct entry class for how the payment was taken, captures the customer authorization that the rules require, and keeps it with the transaction, whether the customer paid on your website or across the counter.

Surcharging that respects the law

If you choose to surcharge, the fee is applied by the gateway rather than calculated by staff, and it is waived automatically in states where surcharging is not permitted. The amount charged is disclosed on the receipt because the card brands require it.

Settlement is part of the story

An approval is not the same as money in the bank, and bank payments in particular can be returned days after they clear. Trovv reads settlement back from the processor, matches it to the original sale, and reports anything that came back with the reason, so a returned payment is something you see rather than something you discover.

The same rails for every tender

Card, bank payment, cash, check, gift card, and store credit all record through one payment path. Split a ticket across several of them and the receipt, the ledger, and the report still agree.
